"Emergenza Music Fest."

Elisa Victoria came front-and-center next, wearing bright orange face-paint like a Carnival mask, reminding one of Ace Frehley, maybe, or Ziggy-era Bowie. Elisa writes her own songs, and her singing, playing, and dancing were sufficiently satisfying to make some people sorry the songstress was permitted time for only three tunes. During her last song, the West Hollywood performer executed a better snake-dance shimmy than Axl Rose, and applause ensued. January 24, 2008 All Access Rob Swick - All Access Magazine

Bio

This young songstress has found a unique path to her musical style. With her jazzy rhythms and bluesy raw voice it is impossible not to become entranced by her songs.

Eli V was born on November 16, 1986 in Titusville, Florida as Elisa Victoria Richards. She moved to Orlando, Florida in her 9th grade year, and here is where she discovered music. Eli V has always found herself on the creative side of the coin. Naturally shy she has always expressed her emotions through creative outlets. Whether it was dance, film, photography or writing her thoughts down in poetic verse, music played an important role in Eli V’s life especially in her early years. At sixteen Eli V picked up her first musical instrument and taught herself to play. From there she found her first love, playing the guitar. Eli V moved to LA at the age of 17 to pursue her musical career.
Putting words to music helped Eli V express herself with early influences from The Beatles, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and Frank Zappa. EliV’s LA experience created many memories as she matured from teenager to woman. Throughout this time she kept returning to music for comfort and solace as a means to express herself.

In September of 2008, Eli V was fortunate to catch the eye of Smiley Records in Germany. With the guidance of long time music producer Henning Gehrke and music executive Chris Flanger, she will be completing her new album Delusional Love. Her first single Edwin is collaboration with Henning. In thinking back about writing Edwin, Eli V says “The song is about an ex boyfriend. I realized our love was fake. Like a movie. Delusional Love. Edwin is a character. I brought our old fake love movie out of the closet, watched it and realized .... I didn't care.” She also worked with producers Dave Palmer (Fiona Apple) and Eric Page on this great collection of songs about love and Eli V’s journey in becoming a woman.
