Bio

Elise Roller may be better known for ripping apart the stage as female lead vocalist/keyboardist of one of Calgary's biggest up-and-coming rock bands, Go For The Eyes, but she still has a soft side that she needs to shine through her own solo works.

Before Go For The Eyes, Elise began recording and performing as a solo artist in October 2008. In the Autumn of 2009, she successfully toured across Canada selling out of her debut EP, Black Book Lullabies, and wowing her audiences with the simplistic showcase of her solidly written songs using only her voice, her keyboard, and her beats. After some record-label battles and let-downs, and the eventual decision not to release the awaited album she had been working on, she got scooped up by the GFTE members and began to put her main focus in the band.

By April 2010, she had another offer to tour Western Canada as a solo artist with hip-hop artist, Transit, and in preparation of this tour, she began writing again. The tour was a success, and the response to her new material was encouraging enough to send her back to the studio to record again as a solo artist on her own terms: No label, no management, and a clean slate to start from.

Since August 2010, she has been in and out of studio with the most pure, creative, and captivating works of her career. Her second EP, No Cake, is set for release in the spring of 2011, with her first single from the EP, Old Peepz, planned for release in January 2011.

Some of Elise's favourite venues she has performed in include: The Marquee Room (Calgary, AB)), Lucky Bar (Victoria, BC), The Cameron House (Toronto, ON), Avenue Theatre (Edmonton), The Rainbow (Ottawa, ON), The Backstage Lounge (Vancouver, BC), The Ottoman (Medicine Hat, AB), Better Than Fred's (Grande Prairie, AB)
