Bio

One listen to The Elite, and you will realize their talent is undeniable!

Emerging from the Northwest in 2008, these artists are hittin' the game runnin'! After two and a half years in the studio, they are ready to unleash their sound. From lightspeed lyrics to hypnotic melodies every song will captivate you.
Influenced by music of every genre, their versatility in beats and style is what sets them apart. Ask them what's on their playlist and they'll tell ya anything from Wu-Tang to Tech N9ne.

Each their own entity... but when combined these musical prodigies not only compliment eachother, but the sound they create is pure magic! Currently residing in the Northwest, (an untapped resource for hip-hop), The Elite is breaking the boundaries between East and West coast movements. Their music can be felt from New York to Los Angeles to the dirty South!

Tha Jessta wrote and performed his first song "Fight Night" in 2006, which blew everyone away. This merely ignited what could only be explained as an explosive career. No one (including himself), expected what would happen next. Immediately, the new artist began writing and performing songs with a longtime friend and fellow artist named J-Gilz. The two called themselves Tha Pyrates. They would go on to perform all over the state, and open up for many acts including 2 Live Crew! After a short but very well recieved run, the two mc's went their seperate ways.

In January of 2007 Tha Jessta started producing and recording his own music. From that point on, it became apparent to everyone around him that he had found his calling! Truly focusing on the music itself, the studio is the only place that you would find this artist. In October of 2007, Tha Jessta was nominated for Best Lyricist in The Trail Music Awards. Since then, he has been flooding the scene with his incredible skills as a producer, songwriter and an mind blowing lyricist!

Simply put, Contact is one of the hottest and most well rounded artists that you've never heard of. Born and raised in Montana, this ferocious MC has been honing his rap skills since about the age of 9 or so. After being introduced to Hip-Hop by the likes of Run DMC, LL Cool J, and other legends of the game as a youngster, Contact was instantly hooked. "I was listening to Hip-Hop when cassette tapes were the only thing around. I'd play them so much that they'd eventually break or the paint would wear off of the plastic," says the 29 year old rhyme vet. "I'm somewhere around 20 years deep in this rap thing." Not only can this cat spit with the best of them, he is also into Djing and production. Contact got his first set of turntables fresh out of middle school and bought his first drum machine and 4 track in junior high. He originally just wanted to make beats and spin records, but would later be enticed by the call of the microphone.

After high school and a few years running his own business, Contact would join a group that would change the landscape of Hip-Hop in his home state. Around 2002 he became a member of the then just recently formed group Filth and Foul. This trio (later a duo) basically took a non-existent scene and turned it into an everyday occurrence. They would eventually go on to release three albums, play every venue they could find, and open for every big name artist that came through the area. In a five year reign they shared the stage with everybody from 50 Cent, Chamillionaire, and DMX to old-schoolers like Too $hort, 2 Live Crew, and Sir Mix-A-Lot. Any doubters can take a quick glance at his celebrity photo album to see that he actually did play with all of those people not to mention a long list of others. "It's hard to believe that Montana went from having no rap shows at all to a point where we get them all of the time now. We broke ground and made it possible for everybody out here to get a shot at doing the things that we experienced," he states. In 2006 they would perform about 60-70 shows and drop the album "406ers" that featured a cut with Cappadonna of the Wu-Tang Clan. This CD also contained shout outs from Ja Rule, Tech N9ne, Bizarre of D-12, and other popular artists. The year 2007 would bring their best project "Undisputed", which would turn out to be their last as a group. They later parted ways due to irreconcilable differences between them. Contact didn't stop making music though and would end up connecting with a local artist named Tha Jessta shortly there after.

In the fall of 2007 Contact and his soon to be partner Tha Jessta started cranking out the tracks. By October they would be side by side performing at The Trail Music Awards in Missoula, MT. Somewhere around that time they decided to combine their efforts and founded what we now know to be The Elite. "I had a verse saying that I walked amongst the elite, so we just kind of ran with it and accepted it as our new identity," explains Contact. Since th
