Take Away the Stone

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

Take Away the Stone

Created to live in the light, a gift from the Father
To shine with a brilliance and warmth, unlike any other.
Hid away in the darkness of the tomb
Guilt-filled shadows of sin threaten to consume.
But the Light of the World shines about,
As Jesus cries, “Come Out!”

Chorus:
And take away the stone, let your soul awaken;
Take away the stone, and be set free
Free from the guilt of the sin that binds you
Live in the light of resurrection power
And take away the stone!

We… we belong to the light, we belong to the Father
And He calls you to arise, be freed to a life like no other
A new life of freedom through grace
Receive His eternal embrace
Oh rise up! Look to Jesus, reach out
He beckons for you to “Come out!”

Chorus:
And take away the stone, let your soul awaken;
Take away the stone, and be set free
Free from the guilt of the sin that binds you
Live in the light of resurrection power
And take away the stone!
Take away the stone?

Bridge:
He released Lazarus from the darkness of the tomb
To the light of a new and glorious day
Come out of the dark shadows, let Jesus save your soul
He is the light… yes, Jesus is the way

Chorus:
Just take away the stone, let your soul awaken;
Take away the stone, and be set free
Free from the guilt of the sin that binds you
Live in the light of resurrection power
And take away the stone…
Let your soul awaken
Take away the stone, and be set free
Free from the guilt of the sin that binds you
Live in the light of resurrection power
And take away the stone!
Just take away the stone!
Yes take away the stone!

Jacobs Well

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

Jacobs Well

He was on his way back to the land of Galilee, just a stranger passing by
It was the noon time hour, it was hot and it was dry
With the sun high in the sky;
He was weary from His walk, and he knew he had to stop and rest for just a spell
It was a day I won’t forget, it was Jesus that I met
At the edge of Jacob’s Well.

Imagine my surprise at the time that I arrived, when He asked me for a drink
A Samaritan woman and a trail weary Jew, what was I supposed to think?
He said, “If you only knew God’s gift for you, then you would ask of me,”
Living Water….Living Water….
Was the message he did tell at the place of Jacob’s Well.

Chorus:

He said, “Living water, I will give to you
Springs of Life Eternal, is my gift in truth;
Living water, and you will thirst no more;
For hope and peace in life, that you’ve been yearning for…”
Oh, Living water.

I couldn’t wait to share all the things he had to say as I hurried back to town;
He told me everything that I ever did and people came from miles around;
Well, they heard and they believed, He is the Saviour of the World
And the story I still tell…
How it all began that day at Jacob’s Well.

Repeat Chorus:

Bridge:
I give you springs of living water flowing from within
Come take this gift I offer,
Be cleansed from all you sin.

Chorus
Living water, I will give to you
Springs of Life Eternal, is My gift in truth;
Oh, Living water, and you will thirst no more;
For hope and peace in life, that you’ve been yearning for.
Living water, flowing from within
Come take this gift I offer, be cleansed from all your sin.
Oh, Living water and you will thirst no more
For hope and peace in life, that you’ve been yearning for
Oh, Living water…Living water…
I will give to you….I will give to you…Living water.

Talk To Him

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

He’s the one who knows just what you’re thinking
He’s the one who knows best what to do
So don’t turn away, simply tell Him
What’s going on inside of you.
Have a little faith in Him
He will forgive your sin
But you’ve got to talk to Him
Yes, you’ve got to talk to Him…talk to the Lord

He’s the one you can always count on
He’s the one who will stay by your side
His love for you is forever
You won’t ever have to turn away or hide
Oh, have a little faith in Him
He will forgive your sin
But you’ve got to talk to Him
Oooh…talk to Him, talk to the Lord

Refrain:

You don’t have to even try, let his spirit lift you high
There’s nothing there but love for you!
You don’t have to be alone, let him share the load
There’s nothing more He’d rather do

He’s the one you can always count on
He’s the one who will stay by your side
His love for you is forever
You won’t ever have to turn away or hide
Oh, have a little faith in Him
He will forgive your sin
But you’ve got to talk to Him
Yes you’ve got to talk to Him, talk to the Lord
He knows just what you’re thinking
And He knows best what to do
Yes, He’s the one you can count on
And He will stay by your side.
He will love you, he will love you,
He will love you forever….

The Cry

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

The Cry
Key of A minor.

The world stood still…
In that place thousands of years ago
What lay in store that night, they did not know
Then rang the sound…
The voice that once was silent pierced the night and filled the air
And it echoed through the darkness, I am with you…I am Here!

CHORUS 1:
And it came with the cry, Listen to His cry
After a thousand years of silence God’s voice echoes through the night
Behold the Child, of David’s line!
It was foretold, now heav’n proclaims the Savior of Mankind
Do you year His cry?
God speaks through His cry.

In a stable dark
Rejected at the Inn that day
So in a humble lowly manger lay our God, in flesh alive!
They could not know…
This helpless babe that Mary bore
Redeeming Savior of the world, would rule in Pow’r
Forevermore….Our Lord!

CHORUS 2:
Hear him cry, listen to his cry
After a thousand years of silence God’s voice echoes through the night
Behold the Child, of David’s line!
It was foretold, now heav’n proclaims the Savior of Mankind
Do you year His cry? His cry…
Listen to the newborn King, listen…. to the cry.
The cry…..the cry.
