Lyrics

The Vine

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

Here I am Lord once again, another restless night ahead
Careless words and bitter thoughts echo loudly in my head
Your peace is what I long for
as I reach into the darkness, I can’t find it.
And the storm it takes it’s toll, and I’m so empty in my soul…In my soul.
But a new day dawns and I can see, the truth Your word reveals to me
And now the enemy, he cannot take my joy…take my joy!

Chorus:
I claim my joy, I claim my peace
I claim all fruits of love and kindness Jesus Christ has promised me
Abundantly those fruits will grow to produce the sweetest wine
And this branch will not be severed from the one true, One true living vine
One true living vine.

Bridge:
Truth lies in your promise, when in me You abide
And I’ll abide within you…the one true living vine.
When attack comes from the enemy, ever seeking to destroy
I proclaim Your Spirit’s power, and he cannot…he cannot steal my joy!

Repeat Chorus:
I claim my joy, I claim my peace
I claim all fruits of love and kindness Jesus Christ has promised me
Abundantly those fruits will grow to produce the sweetest wine
And this branch will not be severed from the one true, One true living vine
The one true living vine.
Abide in me, Jesus…
For You are the vine.
The one true living vine
You are the vine…my Jesus
You are the vine…
You are the vine.

The Cry

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

The world stood still…
In that place thousands of years ago
What lay in store that night, they did not know.
Then rang the sound…
The voice that once was silent pierced the night and filled the air
And it echoed through the darkness, I am with you…I am Here!

Chorus:
And it came with the cry, Listen to His cry
After a thousand years of silence God’s voice echoes through the night
Behold the Child, of David’s line!
It was foretold, now heav’n proclaims the Savior of mankind
Do you year His cry?
God speaks through His cry.

In a stable dark
Rejected at the Inn that day
So in a humble lowly manger lay our God, in flesh alive!
They could not know…
This helpless babe that Mary bore,
Redeeming Savior of the world, would rule in Pow’r
Forevermore….Our Lord!

Chorus:
Hear His cry, listen to His cry
After a thousand years of silence God’s voice echoes through the night
Behold the Child, of David’s line!
It was foretold, now heav’n proclaims the Savior of Mankind
Do you year His cry? His cry…
Listen to the newborn King, listen…. to the cry
the cry…. the cry.

Angel of My Heart

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

Some things in life are just not meant for us to understand
By faith I place my trust in my creator’s perfect plan
Because of you, I’ve learned how dear and precious life should be
Because of you I now appreciate the things I could not see
Blessed in the many things revealed through you…
Praise God for you…little angel of my heart.

Chorus:
Because of you, God sent the comfort of His angels to this house
And He revealed His holy presence in the midst of pain and doubt
Because of you, the gift of life has come to this family
And many souls forever saved for all eternity
Because of you….because of you….
Thank God for you…little angel of my heart.

There will be a day, when I’ll walk with you on streets of gold
And the glory of the Lord our God will be our treasure to behold
And I’ll whisper ever softly songs of Jesus in your ear
We’ll dance along the river of living waters crystal clear
Until then, sleep well in the arms of Jesus
Until then, though a lifetime seems so far
Until then you are rocked by heaven’s angels
Until then…you’re the angel of my heart.

Chorus:
Because of you, God sent the comfort of His angels to this house
And He revealed His holy presence in the midst of pain and doubt
Because of you, the gift of life has come to this family
And many souls forever saved for all eternity
Because of you….because of you….
Thank God for you…little angel of my heart
Angel of my heart…
You’re the angel of my heart.

Unity

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

The day when all God’s people forget their differences
And march united come what may
Is a day when Satan trembles
And his forces who divide us, will be afraid!

Chorus:
This is my hope, this is my dream
This is Christ’s church as it should be
A vision of love and unity.
Let’s stretch out our arms in warm embrace
Extending God’s mercy, love and grace
A fortress of strength for all to see.

We’re all God’s people, despite our differences
To inherit his great kingdom from above
Every woman, child and man for all eternity
For this is how we’re called to be, to live…to love!

Repeat Chorus:
Oh, this is my hope, this is my dream
This is Christ’s church as it should be
A vision of love and unity.
Let’s stretch out our arms in warm embrace
Extending God’s mercy, love and grace
A fortress of strength for all to see.

Bridge:
Cast away differences far from sight
Let each heart for the Lord here forever unite!
Bind us together unbroken and strong
In one church, one love, one voice, one song!

Repeat Chorus x 2
Yes, this is my hope, this is my dream
This is Christ’s church as it should be
A vision of love and unity.
Let’s stretch out our arms in warm embrace
Extending God’s mercy, love and grace
A fortress of strength for all to see.

This is my hope, this is my dream
This is Christ’s church as it should be
A vision of love and unity.
Let’s stretch out our arms in warm embrace
Extending God’s mercy, love and grace
A fortress of strength for all to see.

Let them see Unity
Lord,let there be Unity
God calls for Unity.
Lord, let there be Unity.

Jacobs Well

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

He was on his way back to the land of Galilee, just a stranger passing by
It was the noon time hour, it was hot and it was dry
With the sun high in the sky;
He was weary from the walk an he knew he had to stop and rest for just a spell
It was a day I won’t forget, it was Jesus that I met
At the edge of Jacob’s Well.

Imagine my surprise at the time that I arrived, when He asked me for a drink
A Samaritan woman and a trail weary Jew, what was I supposed to think?
He said, “If you only knew God’s gift for you, then you would ask of me,”
Living Water….Living Water….
Was the message he did tell at the place of Jacob’s Well.

Chorus:

He said, “Living water, I will give to you
Springs of Life Eternal, is my gift in truth;
Living water, and you will thirst no more;
For hope and peace in life, that you’ve been yearning for…”
Oh, Living water.

I couldn’t wait to share all the things he had to say as I hurried back to town;
He told me everything that I ever did and people came from miles around;
Well, they heard and they believed, He is the Saviour of the World
And the story I still tell…
How it all began that day at Jacob’s Well.

Repeat Chorus:

Bridge:

I give you springs of living water flowing from within
Come take this gift I offer,
Be cleansed from all you sin.

Chorus x 2

No Room

Written By: Elizabeth Deveau

No Room

Two thousand and some years ago, word went out across the land
It was decreed by Caesar Augustus there’d be a count of every man.
And for the census to be taken each must depart from where they are
And travel to their birth home, it didn’t matter how near or far.

Now it came to be that Joseph, a humble man from David’s line,
Was betrothed to Mary from Nazareth, all part of God’s design.
When an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph and said “be not afraid”
Mary’s chosen to deliver the Son the God, and Jesus will be His name.

No room….no room…
There was no room for fear or doubt, ‘bout how the future would all work out
There’s no room….no room…There’s no room.

Joseph and Mary headed out on their journey to Bethlehem
The two would travel for many days to meet their destination’s end
When they finally entered into town, it was clear that her time had come
And they searched in desperation for a place for to deliver God’s Son.

But there’s no room…no room
He went from door to door in vain. But still the answer remained the same
There’s no room….no room…
There’s no space left within, we’re sorry but you can’t come in
There’s no room….no room….there’s no room.

They settled in a stable with the oxen and the lamb
With the darkness of the night there came a hush across the land
Then the silences were broken with a newborn baby’s cry
Immanuel…God with us…the Christ child has arrived!

To worship and adore Him, many kings and shepherds came
All Heav’n rejoiced, they knew the world would never be the same
Our Redeemer, Counselor, Prince of Peace, has reign or’ all the earth
Since that blessed night so long ago, that hailed the Savior’s birth

When there was no room…no room
He went from door to door in vain, but still the answer remained the same
There’s no room, no room…
There’s no room for fear or doubt, ‘bout how the future would all work out
There’s no room, no room…there’s no room….
there’s no room…there’s no room.
