The original melodies and lyrics of Elizabeth Stephens were “birthed” out of revelation given her by the Holy Spirit and testimonies of her own walk with the Lord. The mandate given her by God was: to create “music” that would “go” throughout the land and be used “to disciple”… to give truth and revelation… a music that would cause people to “allow Christ into their lives” to transform them through His Word. Her music is like “the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down”… for the word of God is not always easily received or digested, but it contains LIFE and HEALTH to the hearer.
For those who seldom read the bible or attend a public meeting, this music, received over the airwaves, will penetrate where Christ is needed most: into the hearts and homes of everyday “loved” children whom Christ desires to be drawn back to Himself.
While in her quiet time on May 15, 2005, the Holy Spirit spoke these words to Elizabeth:
The hour is coming to release a NEW SOUND upon the nations – the sound of a loving, caring parent for His children. The “sound” of instruction… The “sound” of encouragement… The “sound” of grace” to be mine.
The hunger is EXTREME “out there” – It’s a hunger FOR ME just as I let you feel today. It’s a hunger for “MY words” not words…a hunger for my presence within and power without.
It was these words that brought clarity to Elizabeth’s calling:
To allow God to give her music from heaven that carries the nurturing, teaching quality of a parent to their child… i.e. Elizabeth is being used as an chosen vessel for God to speak to his kids. Her low rich singing voice brings comfort and counsel, tender and yet firm. The lyrics are not repetitive…or without substance… they are taken from scripture. The music given… penetrates into the spirit of man…not just into the soul. And as the truths sung are received into your spirit, you yourself will receive revelation for the lyrics contain the power to bring transformation from the inside out. The only law of light is that it must be “allowed in”….then it will do its work of exposure into one’s life.
