Biography

“Inspired and Inspiring” is the way one fan has described Elizabeth Sullivan’s vocal and songwriting talent. Amazing might be an even better description! Elizabeth Sullivan sings from her heart, and tugs at your heart strings with every note and nuance of her clear, angelic, and awesome sounding voice. She is a talented singer, guitarist and pianist, who not only writes the music and lyrics of her many soulful songs, but sings them with confidence, compassion, and composure and when she reaches the crescendo of her lyrics, you can feel your heart skip a beat!

Her vocal stylings have been compared to Sara McLaughlin, Joni Mitchell, and Eva Cassidy, and every once in a while she has a Jewel like quality to her sound. Her voice is absolutely compelling and her memorable melodic musings speak to your soul.

Elizabeth and her band are currently performing in the New York City area, and preparing for a national tour. A native of Upstate New York, she was classically trained as a voice major at Ithaca College, and has travelled about the country since college in search of her true path, spreading rose petals along the way in places like LA, Seattle, Syracuse and Ithaca. An Oswego, N.Y. native who now lives in Green Point, Brooklyn, her formative musical years involved coping with the untimely death of her mother, whose inspiration and strong heart gave rise to many of Elizabeths early lyrical musings.

After a journey to many parts of the country, including a summer spent at a retreat in a Zen monastery, she has gathered her strength, focused her vision, and is at the top of her vocal, lyrical and songwriting game.

Her grief has been turned into strength, and her soulful serenity projects a solid on stage presence that will leave you moved, touched, and wanting to sing along. Her latest recording, “All that I am” is now available on iTunes, and she is working on the release of several other songs which will soon join her Itunes repertoire. Her song “Nothing at All” helps you to rise from the valley to the mountains, and eventually to the clouds! Once you hear Elizabeth Sullivan, your heart will be hooked and your soul set on a transformational path.

She is currently performing under the tutelage of Gaetano Lattanzi, whose Caelum Productions Inc. has handled several rising stars including Farrowtone, Stirling8, and even New York City’s Naked Cowboy!

“ Elizabeth has a voice that can change the world, one song at a time”, said Lattanzi, and as the words of her song “Carriage Ride” go, “In this fairly tale, in this dream, we can choose what we wanna see...so lift me to the heavens, and lay your love on me! “ Elizabeth Sullivan is ready to lay her love on the world, and the world will indeed be a better place as a result!

Lyrics

All that I am

Written By: Elizabeth Sullivan

This old heart has torn and bleed
has walked the line of regret.
With every breath I am born again
Born to heal and born to mend

This time I’ll take the chance to love
‘Cause that’s all that I’m made of I am made of.

Whatever you want whatever you say
whatever you need I will give it away
‘cause i’ve got nothing to loose, I’ve got nothing to prove
All that I am is you.

This child of wonder this child of might
has fell to the floor and has risen with life.
For every sorrow for every pain
lies a brilliant rainbow and a beautiful refrain.

It’s been a long road from which I have led
and every step is a chance to take the journey ahead.
I’ve been breaking down and building back up
to find a reason in the meaning and a meaning in love.

Whatever you want whatever you say
whatever you need I will give it away
‘cause i’ve got nothing to loose, I’ve got nothing to prove
All that I am is you.

Only with love

Written By: Elizabeth Sullivan

Every where, every place, every scene, every face, every step, every change, every move, every dance. There’s something inside, something that burns, something that bleeds, something that can not hide. It moves you runs through you breaks you down to confuse you, it fill you and makes you come alive. This thing we all need to survive. Only with love, we can make a change. Only love can heal the pain.
Why do we fight? Why do we kill? Have we not learned? Do we not feel all the blood, all the death, all the lies the injustice? And when you cry, I feel your tears, and when you hate into disease will turn your fears. It moves you runs through you breaks you down to confuse you, it fill you and makes you come alive. This thing we all need to survive. Only with love, we can make a change. Only love can heal the pain.
On and on the world will turn as we feel it slowly burn. With or without the sun there’s no chance to live unless we live as one.
Only with love, we can make a change. Only love can heal the pain.
