Eliza Rose began 8 years ago when guitarist Zach Wirchak and drummer Mike Lowe first started playing their instruments and writing songs in middle school as the band Manifest. Throughout the rest of middle school and all of high school, Manifest gigged hard. The band gained substantial local popularity amongst teens from all over the Spokane area and played several high profile concerts through RAWK The Inland Northwest and The Big Easy Concert House (now The Knitting Factory). To supplement their constant stream of live gigs, the band recorded and released a couple 4 song demos and a 7 song EP entitled "Just Opinions."

During the band’s peak popularity in 2004, bassist Patrick Rooks joined the band, bringing his great talent and unique approach to songwriting with him. At the beginning of 2006, the band felt that it was time for an identity change and they decided to leave the name Manifest behind with high school. The members of Manifest decided to change their name to Eliza Rose and record their debut full-length album. The album was completed but never released because of turmoil amongst the members. This led to the rest of the band separating with former singer Andy Antles, leaving the band with a complete album and no vocalist.

Between 2006 and 2008, the band auditioned many different singers but could never find that perfect vocalist. This all changed at the beginning of 2008 when Zach connected with vocalist Jamie Ryan. Formerly of the KidneyThieves, Jamie was the perfect fit for Eliza Rose. Almost immediately after they met, Zach and Jamie started writing songs. During the summer of 2008, the band began recording their best and newest songs for an upcoming EP release. While Mike is away at school, Eliza Rose is pursuing an aggressive online guerrilla marketing campaign in an effort to create as much popularity as possible for the band before Mike moves home to Spokane in May of 2009. Once Mike is back in Spokane, Eliza Rose will hit the ground running and take the Spokane area by storm by playing as many shows as possible. Keep an eye out for us and stay tuned!
