Orfeus Records present
a duo of authors-composers, musicians and singers.
Their repertoire is an inspiring collection of Classical World Fusion songs with different root rhythms enriched by diverse poetic languages.
In 2000, Ricardo Pellegrin El Kady & Sami received the gold medal as best authors-composers for the "World music" category at the great International contest
"SONG EXPO Benelux International" in the Netherlands among more than 1000 participants from 57 countries.
May 2007: El KadySami received the Status Award of "Gold Artist" from the well-known satellite radio RadioIndy.com - USA
April 2008: El KadySami received an "Honorable Mention" Award from "Song of the Year" USA .
July 2008: El KadySami received an "Honorable Mention" from the "15th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest" - USA.
July 2008: the duo joined MTV's Soundtrack community.
Sept. 08: El KadySami are Semi-finalists
at the "UK Songwriting Contest 2008"
among 6,200 songwriters from all over the world
with 3 songs:
“Ilha dos Amores” “Stand by your Dream” “A Quiet Place”.
Two other songs are received as "Commended entries": "I'll Show You" and "Walk Together".
May 2009: World Top 20 Finalist at the "12th Annual Unisong International Song Contest"with the song "Ilha Dos Amores".

“Organico” by El KadySami is an inspiring collection of Latin-folk/world songs. In two words, this CD is remarkably creative! No two songs are alike, offering listeners a refreshing concoction of jazz, folk., African-beat and Latin flavor. Hailing multi-lingual appeal, “Organico” displays some amazing instrumentation, including everything from beautiful jazz pianos and guitars to traditional Latin and African percussion. All of the singers on this CD are exceptionally talented and deliver enchanting performances! “I’ll Show You” serves as insight into El KadySami’s innovative vocal and instrumental arrangements, while introducing a clever lead whistling melody. Moreover, these lyrics are very uplifting and encouraging. Finished with great production, every fan of Latin and World music should give this album a listen!
