Biography

“Pretty Girl Cry” is the long anticipated debut album of Canadian songwriter Ella Escott. After moving to Nashville and spending 7 years in the ups and downs of writing music for others - Ella decided to record her own album. Taking refuge in her old piano, she began writing without judgement and there she ultimately discovered herself as an artist. Shortly after moving back to her native Vancouver, Canada Ella self-produced her debut album “Pretty Girl Cry” an unusual collection of songs, including the breakout rock anthem “Don’t Fuck with My Friends” and an emotionally raw “Imperfect Man”. Ella’s honest, playful and quirky personality coupled with her magnetic voice make this a solid freshman effort and an enjoyable listen. Ella currently splits her time between these two locations and is busy promoting her album, finding balance and trying not to take herself to seriously.
