Bio

Elle's sexy vocals may captivate an audience, but it is the pure rock n' roll energy that shines through the band's swooning pop compositions. Featuring ex-Sid Six bassist Jay Kralka's focused assault, jazz drummer Colin Robinson's swiss timing and finesse, and Elle on guitar and vocals, their self-described "pop noir" draws on influences as diverse as The Velvet Underground, P.J. Harvey, Garbage and Radiohead.

THE PAST: Elle has appeared at Canadian Music Week, NXNE '01, Breakfast Television, Rogers Daytime and on Counterspin (CBC) with her opinions about Napster. The title track "Insomnia" reached the top 25 on Garageband.com and "Afterglow" was voted most-downloaded song on www.thesetunes.com. Her debut release INSOMNIA was in medium rotation on College Radio Stations and in the top ten on CIUT and CFMU.

FUTURE: A video for "Tarantula Dear" is in post-production and will be released in spring. Elle is co-writing with Justin Grey (Snow, 'Nsync, Esthero), Ruben Huizenga (Edwin), Bryan Potvin (The Northern Pikes), Iain McNally (Mia Sheard) among others. She is presently in the studio with Ruben Huizenga putting the finishing touches on a new recording.
