The brasiliense band Ellefante, decided to make music with the purpose of talking about simple things that we live day-to-day. Beginnings, choices, learning, evolution, self-knowledgement, passions and heartbreaks are themes that intertwine lyrics and melodies creating a timeless counterpoint, which creates the a bond that unites us all, human beings. Rescuing a link between people, their feelings and their relationship to the world is what moves Ellefante through art.
"Our purpose, the purpose of the Ellefante is to speak about those things, things that happen to you, things that happen to me, things that happen to your neighbor, you know? Stories that we see every day ... "
The brasiliense trio is formed by the singer and guitarist Fernando Vaz, the bassist Adriano Pasqua and the drummer João Dito has a mature proposal. The tenderness of harmonies and melodies are a mix of Brazilian music, pop blues and other alternative rock influences from folk to African rhythms.
The band’s page release on facebook was somewhat unusual, the presentation was made through a video release posted directly on their facebook page, with a very intimate essence. The video shows the day-to-day of the members and their relationship with simple things that surrounds them. Having a cup of coffee together or organizing a homemade pizza with friends and family, like they say, is the fuel that fortify their creative minds.
Their premiere also featured the presentation on "Mezanino Sessions", a session that invites the viewer to enter in a cozy and rustic scene loaded with elements that give wings to the ludic. The premiere on "Mezanino Sessions" came with the release of the single "Cartas Paraná" in September’s last week. In just three days, the video surpassed expectations with more than 1 thousand views. The band now is getting ready to release the next single "Dor que vai durar" witch will close this with a golden key for the band.
At the moment the full album is in the pre-production phase and its release is scheduled for March 2017, until then Ellefante is performing in and outside Brasilia.

"Breaking the barriers of feelings that exists in people is what drives us to create" Rescuing a link between people, their feelings and their relationship to the world is what moves Ellefante through art. The songs are a subtle and creative invitation in the break of neutrality and passivity of the senses. The purpose is to speak about simple things that we live every day. beginnings, choices, learning, evolution, self-knowledgement, passions and heartbreaks are themes that intertwine lyrics and melodies creating a timeless counterpoint, which creates the a bond that unites us all, human beings. The brasiliense trio is formed by the singer and guitarist Fernando Vaz, the bassist Adriano Pasqua and the drummer João Dito. Ellefante's songs have a mature proposal. The tenderness of harmonies and melodies are a mix of Brazilian music, pop blues and other alternative rock influences from folk to African rhythms. The trio stands out by maintaining an organic and solid sound on the stage due to well made vocal arrangements and live loopings which is a special characteristic on creating its own sound identity. In September, the band released their first two songs, experimenting the live format in the "Mezanino Sessions", a session that invites the viewer to enter in a cozy and rustic scene loaded with elements that give wings to the ludic. In this two videos series were presented the songs "Cartas Paraná" (which has in the essence a modern bossa nova that its is drawn in organic rhythms and tones) and "Dor que vai durar" (Brazilian alternative rock with a fell of rock samba) that closed with golden key the release of the band. Their first album is scheduled for March 2017.
