The lyrics of Ellen Ehli coerce the listener down a path and into a dimension of mind provoking, idealistic and stimulating creativity. She writes simple songs of everyday sorrow, life, loss, love and you soon find yourself on a boulevard of unknowns and unpredictabilitys.
Born in a small town in western Massachusetts, she has traveled and lived in many places which have contributed to her old soul reflective style of music. Singing and writing about subjects that socially walk the line. She celebrates a combined classic songwriting style of Natalie Merchant, Stevie Nicks and Beth Orton. Ellens rare viewpoint offers a unique and passionate view that incorporates intensity and depth through her unhindered lyrics and gripping, heartfelt melodies.
Ellen grew up reflecting on the music of Dylan, Fleetwood Mac and Elton John to name a few. She has never forgotten her humble small town roots and her family love and loss which have proven effective in her songwriting style. Maintaining an effortless folk acoustic sound and rhythm allows her biting lyrics to resonate with realism and an unprecedented individual style.
