Ellen's solo CD, Tried & True, moved one reviewer to write that she is "blessed with the ability to beautifully frame a song with a voice that embodies the essence of warmth and sincerity." Bio

The process of recording and performing music has been an important step in my personal journey. It has taught me that there is no greater gift than being able to do the thing you want to do. Therein lies the achievement.

Her songs are personal yet universal (with a hint of women songwriters from the past) giving them a welcome freshness. Her current release Water into Wine showcases her ability to look inside herself while still connecting with the listener with purity of tone and understated delivery.

Her connection with music goes back to childhood. She grew up studying classical piano and started singing at the age of 16. When deciding to forego a classical career Ellen then fell into the family business. Her father Sid Woloshin a Madison Avenue jingles man who wrote one of the most powerful ad tunes of all times, McDonalds You Deserve a Break Today gave her the chance to use her vocal talents by becoming one of the voices of McDonalds while still in college. From there, Ellen sang and wrote jingles for the likes of advertisers from Crystal Light, Trump Casino, Pearle Vision and others creating a strong professional foundation before embarking on the path of singer/songwriter.

She has since recorded two albums and shared the stage with artists like Laura Nyro, Jim Dawson and Bill Stains among others. Ellen has also done some stunning renditions of several well-known songs most notably her version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps which is on her first CD Tried & True and received airplay on the BBC. She has recently completed a brand new video of this track which is a unique take on this poignant George Harrison classic. Her broad range of live and recording experience and early work in jingles is a truly versatile collection of experiences. She has played countless gigs in a variety of venues from colleges to coffee houses to the Bluebird Caf in Nashville. As a songwriter Ellen has also written for artists like Dionne Warwick, Ben Vereen and LaToya Jackson.
