The finale of the press night was Ellerker, a relatively young band that showed experience doesn't necessarily have to come with age. The four-piece radiated energy in their set of polished and positive rock songs. Think the class of James Dean Bradfield's early Manics work meeting a Superman soundtrack and you have the general idea. Whilst some may look and see a young band and cough up a McFly comparison, those that can listen will hear the subtlety of great writing underneath.
All in all, I was impressed much more than I had bargained for.

The fourth and final band; Ellerker. Four young guys having to sit through three other bands playing, whilst waiting to perform.
Finally they arrived. Definately the youngest of the other bands that had been on, but you can tell that Ellerker had been suffering from 'Itchy feet' whilst waiting to play. Once they took to the stage they were off! Like a great Dane that'd been stuck in the Kitchen all afternoon and just been let out; bags of energy and bags of character.

Bio
The Ellerker story began in a kebab shop on the outskirts of Hull in the early months of 2007. Soon after, Ellerker were doing acoustic gigs nationwide with their own fusion of melodic hooks and heart-felt lyrics.
The acoustic chapter closed and the Ellerker of today was born. The indie four-piece are gracing stages up and down the country with their flamboyant stage presence and unique musical style that takes influence from bands such as ‘The Early November’, ‘Taking Back Sunday’ & ‘The Killers’.
Ellerker have been on regional radio stations, such as KCFM's Rock Show. The press are saying:
"...they've definately got the look, tight performance, catchy tunes and stage presence; ticks in all boxes." - Hull Vibe
"Ellerker are one of the best bands I've heard in a long time!" - Magnum

Ellerker have had live videos played on the BBC Big Screen that were viewed by thousands of people with huge ammounts of positive feedback.
The story so far ends here, but before you know it, Ellerker will be bigger and balder than Britney Spears!
