"Ellery: Performing Songwriter, 2005"

...Tasha Golden's voice goes from soft sigh to intense wail, while each song is supported by expert arrangements and instrumentation... Each song is a glimpse into a different aspect of the human condition. Even familiar themes like loneliness and love flourish with a new-found freshness. - Performing Songwriter

"Ellery : Savannah Morning News (GA)"

...Its unique blend of folk, indie, rock and alternative is a fresh and soulful experience. Tasha's voice trickles beautifully over her piano and Justin's guitar... Check them out before they're on the cover of Rolling Stone. - Savannah Morning News (GA)

"Ellery : Connect Savannah Magazine (GA)"

One of the few acts to come across my desk in a long while whose recorded work actually lives up to the hype surrounding it, this married duo of Tasha and Justin Golden make passionate, spiritually invigorating postmodern folk-pop that is as memorable as it is easy to swallow... the songs are as good as anything you'll hear from major Adult Contemporary stars.
- Connect Savannah Magazine (GA)

"Ellery : CollectedSounds"

...I love this CD. It's got everything: great songwriting, skilled musicianship, professional production, and a lead vocal I just can't get enough of... - Collectedsounds.com

"Ellery : Performing Songwriter"

...The 11 emotionally charged, introspective, mid-tempo tunes smartly put singer Tasha Golden's smooth, pliable voice front and center to guide the soaring melodies, as her muted piano playing and the shimmering guitars and husky backing vocals from husband Justin Golden provide an earthy ballast...With an evocative and poetic approach, their namesake suits them well, too.

"Ellery : Paste Magazine"

Tasha and Justin Golden combine skillful, melodic instrumentation, intelligent but unassuming lyrics, and captivating vocals to make engaging indie pop on Lying Awake... [It's] music for the well-adjusted, music filled with alt-radio-ready piano, tasteful guitar and breathy vocals that flirt with melancholy but always climax with hopefulness. - Paste Magazine

"Ellery: San Diego CityBeat"

Husband and wife duo Tasha and Justin Golden just wafted out of Cincinnati with Lying Awake, a project that seems aimed at bringing the foreplay back to song... You can almost hear the collective sigh coming from romantics everywhere, whether they like the breezy folk or not.
Rating: 5 stars - San Diego CityBeat

"Ellery, Cincinnati CityBeat"

...The twosome's airy yet organic Pop has a soul-tickling emotional weight that many bands would die for. Starry-eyed yet also very grounded, Ellery's sound is romantic, dreamy, moving and flawlessly executed. - CityBeat
