Bio
Elle was born to Haitian immigrant parents in Brooklyn, NY. They later moved to New Jersey and it was during her adolescent years that Elle began to develop a love for words and poetry.
Growing up in a strict Haitian Christian household, Elle, grew up listening to Christian radio and "parent approved music" such as Whitney Houston, and Kenny Rogers. Always gifted at writing, Elle's mother encouraged her to begin writing and reciting poetry first in church, then throughout the tri-state area. It was a chance encounter
with a hip hop cypher outside of her church in Brooklyn, that caused her to first fall in love with hip hop, and thirst for more. Elle Vie credits her brother for recognizing her young talent and exposing her to more, as well as recording.
NJ grown, But Haitian rooted, Elle Vie has already performed and opened for artists including, WYCLEF JEAN, PATTI LABELLE, SERANI, and TRINA, and worked with Grammy award winning producer JERRY WONDA
producer. She has performed at various niversities/colleges and clubs including NYs famed Le Poisson Rouge and Bowery Poetry Club.
Listeners of Elle Vie music, describe her as a "breath of fresh air" And after her moving performances, the audience is always left wanting more!
