Art thrives on new voices, music in particular, when a new fresh perspective arrives on the scene, talent surfaces. Emerging from Tallahassee, Florida Elliott McKnight, a 20 year old artist, and scholar looks to showcase his realistic views of a young adult making his transition into the real world. Often compared to prominent artists such as J.Cole, Drake, and Kanye West based on his ability to be a lyrical assassin and great storyteller, EMK seeks to enthuse, and give great imagery to his audience. As an ambitious dream chaser, and a collegiate scholar of the renowned Howard University, EMK provides his inspiring outlook on life through the debut of his first mixtape “The Beginning” with an incredible vibrancy. EMK has had a passion for music since a very young age but did not realize those talents until the age of 16. When he arrived at Howard his freshman year, Elliott congregated with who would be the remaining pieces to Fortune&Fame Entertainment, a media group consisting of photographers, videographers, graphic designers, producers, and audio engineers. Greatly influenced by each member, along with the teachings of his father, a notable artist and minister, EMK plans to not only tell the story of the average college student, but the life of a kid growing up and living his dreams. Elliott states, “People either choose to do what they love, or they fall into a unhappy routine for a half century.” Elliott McKnight is in full pursuit of becoming a complete artist. His love for music has motivated him to study and learn the different areas of the music industry. Selected as Howard University “Hottest” MC, Elliott McKnight continues to set bar amongst his competition and provide good music to his collective fan base.
