The Elmer Ferrer Band Kicked off its Canadian tour this week with a sold out show at the Black Sheep Inn in Wakefield, and Ferrer will make three appearances at the Cisco Systems OttawaBluesfest.
"His music is so far advanced --- a mix of cuban jazz and electric blues," said Balck Sheep owner Paul Symes. "When you put those two things together, it was so ridiculously fast and beautifuly played to the point it was almost unbelievable .... I hire about 500 hundred bands a year and this one was in the top 5." - Ottawa Citizen July 8, 2006

Bio
The most common comment on this band is the quality of the musicianship, stage presence and song writing. Elmer is a cross between Pat Metheny and SRV. It is a unique blend of three top cuban musicians with a Canadian vocalist.
The Band toured Ontario and Quebec int he summer of 2006 playing the Ottawa Bluesfest (3 shows including main stage in front of Keb Mo and Bonnie raitt) and the Mont Tremblant Festival du Blues.
The band also sold out three club shows (150 capacity) at the Black Sheep Inn Inn Wakefield Quebec, The Rainbow Bistro, Ottawa and the London Music Club in London, Ontario.
The story of the band is a good one, cubans and a Canadian playing great music, and garners lots of press prior to our shows. We have a PR person.
