"2DopeBoyz.com Review: ELMNT - Sophisticated Ignorance"

Yeah, me and Mek are coming for our 700% ELMNT! Haha… anyways, the Canadian emcee takes on a reworking of Kanye West’s “White Dress” for his latest freebie. Stara-Nova (albeit delayed) is coming soon. - 2Dopeboyz

"DJbooth.net Review: ELMNT - Must Come Down f. Lord Quest, Junia-T"

Gravity may seem like a simple matter of,”What goes up, Must Come Down,” but in reality it’s one of the most fundamental forces in the universe, arising from a curvature in the very fabric of space-time. Similarly, the attraction that hip-hop heads feel to a talented emcee like Element is actually rooted in the density of dopeness particles in the luminiferous aether, and… yeah, I’m totally making sh*t up. Actually, the appeal of the T-dot repper’s latest single is about the fundamental forces of hot beats and rhymes. Junia T provides the latter, flipping a spacey sample from the Allen Parsons Project’s What Goes Up as Element spits about his quest to take his game to ever-greater heights. Two fellow Ontario reppers lend a hand on the guest tip: T-Dot’s Lord Quest on the opening verse, who discusses how his reality clouds the vision of his future, and Mississauga’s Jamia-T for a metaphysically-inclined closing contribution. Has this cut succeeded in elevating your mindstate? If so, keep it locked for further details on Element’s forthcoming studio album, which has yet to receive a title or release date. - DJbooth.net

"DJbooth.net Review: ELMNT - 4A Way f. Slakah The Beatchild"

Sure, we’ve all fantasized about a three way before – personally I’m rolling with a Dream Team line-up of Scarlett Johannsen and Rosa Acosta – but Toronto emcee ELMNT is a man who dreams big. For him, nothing short of a four way will do. What’s that? The track’s actually titled 4A Way? As in “looking 4/for a way out of this situation”? Oh, can I still fantasize about Scarlett and Rosa? No? Fine, I’ll do my job and get back to the music. The first The DJBooth feature for ELMNT (under his newly-spelled stage name), 4A Way is given it’s deeply soulful vibe by producer FS Green, whose organic percussion and sparking keys conjures images of Dwele and The Roots at their most melodic – and of course vocal assistance from Slakah the Beatchild only emphasizes that vibe. But, fittingly, it’s the headliner’s rhymes that take center stage as he uses his rhyme skills to delve into a relationship that’s no longer really a relationship. While details on a full-length project from ELMNT are still emerging, I’m willing to bet more than few folks will now be fantasizing about more new music from the man. - DJbooth.net
