Elmwood could easily be the next big thing. - Wallace Press, North Carolina

"Carolina Live Music Society Review"

ROCKED THE HELL out of the room. Dave (Matthews) on Crack perhaps. Elmwood Band is just a lot of fun! Must See! - Chris Adams for Carolina Live Music Society

"JamBand Review"

Elmwood Band was infectious from the very first note and played with a conviction and energy that is rarely seen in the jam scene. They may be young but they are musicians' musicians, each being equally and technically proficient at what they do. - JamBand.com

Bio

Formed in 2008, Elmwood has quickly become one of the country's most sought after live bands after dates with O.A.R., Blues Traveler, The Wailers, Umphrey’s Mcgee, Grace Potter, G. Love and Special Sauce, and side-stage performances with the Dave Matthews Band.

Singer and guitar player Rusty Kelly, bass player Justin Smith, sax player Derek Haight and drummer Donnie Marple all came on board after responding to craigslist ad's looking for musicians. Derek came from four years of international touring, playing over 50 countries, and Donnie coming from his 2007 win of the Guitar Center Drum-off (do yourself a favor, check out the mind-blowing video of his winning solo on youtube!) where he was crowned best drummer in the US. If the reaction from fans after seeing their high energy and musically inspiring live show is any indication, it won't be long before you are converted into an Elmwood fan.
