Bio

"New Jersey is a dump for generic breakdowns and hardcore music. Elodie is a breath of fresh air in the monotony." - Chainsaw Media

Since 2006 Elodie has been extremely driven to write and perform on a professional level. Their influences range from pop punk, hardcore, alternative, and indie, which all help define the original sound produced. A few influential bands within these genres include A Day to Remember, Four Year Strong, Circa Survive, Silverstein, Underoath, Set Your Goals, and more. All in one, throw catchy, melodic choruses and intense, powerful breakdowns in a cup of coffee with a few spoons of pleasant dancable bridges and Elodie has been created.

Originally starting in 2006 with Peter D'elia, Chris Aguayo, Montana Voetglin, Austin Peer, and Chris Kirkwood, Elodie developed and tightened up as a band for two years. During this time period, Elodie participated in the Jersey Shows Original Music Competition, which was a 10-month battle of the bands starting with over 350 older and more experienced bands. Having the finals take place at the legendary Starland Ballroom, Elodie won $2000 along with an extensive prize package in the competition. In addition to this, Elodie has performed at tons of venues around the tri-state area, gaining new fans and aknowledgement from a myriad of promoters.

In early 2009, Elodie parted ways with their original singer, Austin Peer and original bassist, Chris Kirkwood due to musical differences. Fortunately, Elodie was easily able to find their current singer Julius Trombino and bassist Billy Franco in no time. Julius Trombino, a 16-year-old talented pop-songwriter, has won "Song of the Year" with 2 of his original pop songs. He fits perfectly with Elodie to help create more catchy and structured music, while adding his own style to make it more original. Billy Franco is 16 years old and is an experienced bassist who has performed with other original bands prior to Elodie. His talent and energy are showcased in his solid, melodic basslines and his stage presence. Guitarist Chris Aguayo is 18 years old and writes the majority of Elodie's music. As many of Elodie's songs are guitar-driven, his lead parts and solos add a sense of dynamics to the band. He also backs up the lead vocals with harmonies and throws in a little bit of screamo to add to each songs intensity. Peter D'elia is 17 years old and is an experienced guitarist who supports many leads with strong guitar harmonies and complex rhythms. He is also a talented songwriter and adds his own unique taste to every Elodie song. Montana Voetglin is 19-years-old and holds the bones of the band together with his consistant and powerful drumming. His remarkable energy on stage solidifies each performance. Elodie has been able to connect with several different audiences and uses all professional gear to keep a clean, crisp sound for all performances.

Elodie has performed at both national and regional venues such as The Starland Ballroom, The Stone Pony, The Crocodile Rock Cafe, and more. Having played an impressive roster of shows with recognized bands, performances are filled with nothing but passionate energy while maintaining the same flawlessness they have on recording. Energetic and extremely respectful towards the band, Elodie's fans have shown nothing but support these past few years, and Elodie is looking to gain even more support from new & diverse audiences.

Most recently, Elodie has been in the studio, recording three brand new songs. These original songs all vary in style within their genre and showcase their consistant development and maturity.
