Bio
Started in 2002, Elora originally called themselves Checkpoint. People came and went as the band went through many line-up changes before settling on: Jordan Calhoun, Jason Scott, Jarred De Armas, and Andrew Bennet. Despite opposition in the local scene for not being "hardcore" enough, Checkpoint never faltered. While some may not have appreciated good music just because of their musical snobbery, the band continued to recieve an ever-increasing base of fans who recognized something special when they heard it. As the band grew and became increasingly popular, playing at such famous venues as SOMA in San Diego and The Whiskey-a-Go-Go in Hollywood, they decided it was time to change their name to compliment thier new style and the progress they had made. They decided on Elora, a name which translates into "Crown of Victory". While the band hasn't reached their peak moment of victory yet, they are certainly on their way.
