Bio

E.L.P.T. (Exposin' Lies Proclaimin' Truth), a rap group, out of New Jersey, consisting of two male members (Nob'l and Royal Priest), formed in 1999 with a vision and desire to reach people everywhere through their music. They started off performing in local spots throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In September of 2000, they met Jive recording artist B.B. Jay, with whom they quickly developed a good relationship with. Soon after, they began touring with him as his backup, and performing their own single, "It's Been 2 Long".
As a result of touring with B.B. Jay, E.L.P.T. has experienced performing in front of thousands, making them no strangers to the stage. Some of the places they've toured to were, Texas A&M University, Eddie Long's "Gang Conference" in Atlanta, Ga., "The Riverfront" in Chicago, Ill., Newark Symphony Hall in Newark, N.J., and at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J.. They've performed on the same bill as renown artists such as Tonex, Donald Lawrence, John P. Kee, Men Of Standard, and Virtue. They also made a cameo appearance in the Dez music video, "Diamond Rings" in the summer of 2001. Also, in Februrary of 2004, E.L.P.T. were announced as the first place winners in Hezekiah Walker's, "When Singer's Meet" artist showcase in Bensalem, Pa. They also performed and were interviewed on the "Mix Masters Lounge", which will begin airing in the fall of 2005, on the Inspirational Network (INSP).
E.L.P.T. has also received airplay from various radio stations, some being, 89.7 WUBS (South Bend, In.), 89.1 WFDU (Teaneck, N.J.), 1480 WDAS (Bala Cynwyd, Pa.), and other stations in Chicago, Ill., Pontiac, MI., Princeton, N.J., and Virginia.
In a market flooded with hip hop/rap artists, what sets E.L.P.T. apart from the rest is the fact that they don't follow the trail another artist has set. Uniqueness is found in every individual, and so many artists try to sound like, or do what another artist has already done. E.L.P.T. seeks to be unique in their own way, and take advantage of their God given identities to be themselves.
Much of their music is influenced by their environment. The things they go through, see others go through, or see take place in the world. Those are the elements that play the biggest part when it comes to them creating music.
They're a group that is commited to making good, quality, music for all races and genders, and at the same time use their voice to be outspoken. They are always seeking to take their music to the next level, always striving for perfection and creativity.
Their main goal is to touch the hearts and minds of people throughout the globe with their music, fulfilling the purpose God has for their lives, in hope to see lives transformed by the message they bring. They are sure to make a powerful impact on the lives of people everywhere, whether through music or a personal encounter.
