Biography

Elsa Jayne is a First Nation indie pop artist from Kitchener, Ontario. Known for her imaginative songwriting, Elsa Jayne captivates her audience with her unique voice and creativity. CBC Music dubs Elsa Jayne's music, "Anthemic, dreamy synth-pop that gets stuck in your head for days."

Some of Elsa's favourite artists include Purity Ring, Lights, Grimes, Enya and Loreena McKennitt. These influences are inspirational to her own songwriting as she creates songs that are not only catchy and unique, but touch a deeper place in the human heart. Singing of love, life's lessons and God, Elsa bares her heart for all and invites them in on an enchanted adventure filled with sparkling synths, beautiful landscapes and cooing melodies.

Elsa Jayne, her debut self-titled album, was released in 2008 and features a medley of songs that were written throughout her late teens and early twenties. Ranging from guitar driven rock songs, to gentle folk tunes, this album reflects Elsa’s self-discovery as a musician.

Elsa Jayne recently released her new EP, Heart and music video, "Fourteen Days". A recipient of the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund, Elsa proudly displays her First Nations roots in her music video, "Fourteen Days". Watch it here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt_whRoKopY
