Elyon's Fire

Elyon's Fire

BandRockAcoustic

A sincere, heart-spilled, acoustic-rock-piano-pop refuge for those bright-eyed fighters who are surrounded by the sick and the tired.

Biography

Elyon's Fire used to be a happy little punk band. Four high-school boys thought they were going to make it somewhere in life with their loud music.

And then it occurred to them that there are a million others louder than they could ever be. So they gave up. Two of them left the band. The remaining two have been trying to pick up the pieces.

Elyon's Fire is a passion that runs deep in our veins. It is the still small voice in our ear. It is the beautiful song in our heart that can barely be expressed by music.

We have every reason to quit. We have every reason to throw in the towel. But as long as the song is in our heart, we will sing.

Lyrics

On My Way

Written By: Ryan Lewis

Take it from me
I'm the worst one of them all
My mirror tells me
Tells me that she's
Fairest on my wall
But whispering love
Sends a message in my ear
I'm afraid to trust
I'm afraid of what
Would come for facing fear

And I want to be free
But these walls surround me
And I can't climb out
I'm a slave to myself
And I need to let go
But I cannot on my own
And I can't go back
But I'm on my way back

Take it from me
There's no way out I know
I'm dead beside her
Dead without her
Dead altogether sold
I'm lacing my fingers
Praying "take my burden away"
But still it lingers
Still the pictures
Burn inside my brain

And I want to be free
But these walls surround me
And I can't climb out
I'm a slave to myself
And I need to let go
But I cannot on my own
And I can't go back
But I'm on my way back home, cuz this is all that I know

God, I don't know
I keep running circles round
The green light go
The red light no
Brakes worn the whole way down
