NEW ARTIST OF THE WEEK!... Music2feel4/Universal Records

The Music2feel4 this week will be: Emily Taylor

Record Label: Unsigned (for now)

Ms Emily Taylor well known as Em to all. This unbelievable new artist comes to us with an amazing energy to her music style itself. Em comes to us from Bloomington, Indiana. So, what is it about my new artist 4 this week that is so different and unique? Well, let me begin by saying that this little princess is at the very tender age of 11.

Yes, what an amazing voice Em posses. This new talent featured on both my personal site and on Music2feel4/Universal Records page is breathtaking. Em has broken through the industry in many ways and Em has made the entertainment world stop and listen.

As her career can only get better and better through time. I believe Em has just begun to define what others may take a life time to find. Her career will continue to blossom in many areas. Em has a captivating style and her innocence can be heard through her vocals as they come alive. Yet at the same time strong and powerful. Em posses a gift others seek.

All though Em is not new to the music industry for being so young. Em has played "Annie" in the theaters and has been performing since she was 5. As she continues to bloom she has had many opportunities to enrich her young career. As a member of the Indiana University Children's Choir many have taken noticed of her abilities and they can only be blown away by her capabilities.

Em is versatile and has worked with the famed MLI Talent and Modeling Agency. Which Em is featured on the MLI's official web site under the Success Stories and Recent Press. Among the few other projects she has had the honor of working with Stephanie Parker and her band as they opened for Ms Chaka Khan. Even though Em seems young she is not new to the entertainment scene. In 2005 Em met and did a collaboration with Randy Jones of Up Close and Personal Productions and together they worked on Em's first original song.

It was that original song, "Where I'm from" was selected to be on the soundtrack for the novel Platinum Dreams, by Jacki Kash which shall be released this month November, 2006. You can check it out at www.kashrules.com under What's Happenin'.

So for now Em is working and recording with producer Lance Tolbert, from Edmonds Entertainment in Los Angeles. Also, Em has recently been selected to work with Unsigned Source out of New York City. Em will be performing in their Artists Showcases for Record Label A&Rs. As for her music? Em is currently writing and recording with Dave Cocalis, The Bloomington Recording Company to complete her 6 song demo CD as well as recording commercials for the local Indianapolis market area.

Therefore, the New Artist of the week is Em and she was picked because she
has literally made me stop and take notice. Em has the capability to become so much more than just another singer. Em has determination and for someone so young she has proven to never let certain things hold you back not even age. Congratulations to Em and much continued success.

This is a quote from Em:

"I have lived and breathed music since I can remember. When I sing and write, it truly comes from my heart and soul. For being young, I still have a lot to say ! God has blessed me in many, many ways and my voice is a gift I want to share with the world!"

So, with that said, "please show some love and support her way." One of many things I can personally say about Em...She has a unique style that makes her shine more because she has appeal and it is that appeal of hers that has strength and passion to be the best in all she does.

Michael/Universal Records, I personally ask for you to listen to our new
upcoming artist Em.

To everyone: Every week there will be a new artist honored on both sites.
So, please feel free to come by and show your support and luv for all those
that will be honored. It could be you!

Thank you,

Hector y Music2feel4/Universal Records

10-year-old has voice — and confidence — beyond her years

BLOOMINGTON - Emily Ireland-Toal arrives for her interview in a bright pink top and denim skirt, her hair pulled back in a long, high ponytail.
She's only 10, but right away, it's clear she isn't like most 10-year-olds.
She is talking about her recent IU Children's Choir contest, in which the choir won second place.
"The first-place trophy could have worn our trophy as a necklace," she says.
Emily, a longtime singer, exudes a confidence - even a cockiness - that most children her age don't, at least not when talking to a newspaper reporter.
For example: "I just sing how I like.

The Bloomington girl, a fifth-grader at Templeton Elementary School, has started favoring jazz and R&B over the opera she was introduced to through the well-established choir.
"My favorite jazz singer has to be Ella Fitzgerald," she announced, chomping on a piece of gum. "'Don't Mean a Thing,' that scatting that she does."
Alicia Keys is another favorite.
"Alicia Keys, she's the best," Emily said.
Emily recently recorded a CD with a local producer, Quincy "Q" Brown. She also started writing her own songs and participated in fruitful talent search performances in St. Louis and Detroit.
The result of one has Emily singing today at the Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion Celebration in Cincinnati. It's an event that draws some 100,000 people over one weekend every year.
"She's just a doll baby. I just fell in love with her, and she hadn't even opened her mouth," said Adrienne Campbell, sponsor coordinator of the event.
Campbell asked Emily to sing at a private reception for the sponsors - which included big-wigs from Proctor & Gamble and Delta Airlines - earlier in the week. She was the only featured performer.

"She is just so confident with what she is doing and how she is doing it," Campbell said of the girl's appeal.
And her voice?
It, too, seems not to belong to a child, Campbell said.
Emily's mother, Stacey Ireland-Toal, said Emily has been singing since she was born. Literally.
"She used to sit in her crib and hum," she recalled.
Emily wrote her song "Don't Even Know Me" when she was feeling particularly picked-on, for reasons other than singing.
"A lot of people make fun of me, my skin and my hair," she said.
The song appears on a CD produced by Brown; a cover of Emily's favorite jazz song, "Summertime," also appears on it.
These days, writing is providing Emily with yet another creative outlet for her energy. She pens stories and poems, in addition to songs.
"If I can't get it out in singing, I'll put it down in poetry," she said.
Emily also takes jazz and tap dance lessons, and she said she hopes someday to work with a rock star - local fave John Mellencamp? - in what she calls a "rap and roll" collaboration.
"It sounds really good together," she says, citing the "rap and roll" song by her rock idol, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, and Christina Milian in the movie "Be Cool."
And, she wants to join a gospel church choir, where she will be allowed to belt out the music as she sees fit.
"If you're like me, and you want to sing every type of music, it's hard to be (contained)," she said.
But Emily's plans certainly don't stop with performing; she wants to earn enough money from her singing to pay for medical school. She plans to be a pediatrician.
"I love babies. I love kids," she says.

"Where I'm from" is one of her original songs that she wrote the lyrics and did lead and background vocals for. It is streaming on this site.
And Em's song "Where I'm From" was recently selected to appear on the soundtrack for the novel, Platinum Dreams by Jacki Kash."
Em is also currently completing a 10 song CD that should be ready for release by the Fall of 2006
