Emaluna

From living as a shepherd on a Native American reservation, to a cave in Costa Rica, Trekking the Himalayas, and Street Performing, Emaluna continues to gather experiences from all corners of the Earth. Her journies of love and life are explored through her album, "Heartfire", which features tight harmonies pure poetry, and a real diversity of songs from the soft and sweet "river" to political activism in"revealed" and ancient Sanskrit chant. Her songs seem to carry a common thread of truth that all can relate to. Emaluna enjoys playing for the elderly, disabled, and those in rehabilitation centers. She is currently studying with North Indian Music Master Ali Akbar Khan, which contributes to her melodic vocal style. She is also studying the Tablas with master Swapan Chaduri, which add an intricate knowledge of rhythm in her songwritting. She is Dedicated to the process of self discovey and purification which brings her all over the globe. Emaluna is currently planning to study with traditional healers in the Amazon Rainforest. This process feeds the fire of her music, and carries an essence that continues to inspire all those in contact, reminding us to live each moment to the fullest.
