Bio
Embered began when Richard Lane and Gabrielle Murray decided to begin writing songs together in June 2003. They quickly discovered they had very strong musical chemistry and have continued to write and record. The main musicians are Gabrielle and Rich, but for live shows several other musicians are included, such as a second guitarist, a bassist, and a drummer.
The music is full of fiery lyrics and harmonies with male and female vocals, and guitar harmonies. Major influences include Nirvana, Alice in Chains, The Deftones, Veruca Salt, Metallica, Musical theatre and the general early 90s music scene. The main goal is to create something that people can feel and enjoy.
Although Embered lacks the funds to go into a real studio, they have done a decent job recording songs on a computer using Cakewalk Home Studio 2004, using fruityloops for drums, as real drums are rather difficult to record. However there are plans in the works to go to a local studio to record a full demo in the near future.
