"Winner of Demo 2006 Eskilstuna"

Embers Arise got big applause for their tight metal.
The jury had, as expected, a tough job of selecting the best band, but eventually Embers Arise won. The jury's motivation was clear:
"With voice, rhythm and riffs from the deepest abyss and also with a great contact with the audience these six guys takes Eskilstuna´s metal scene to the next level." - www.ekuriren.se

"Revoultion Music Review"

The style on the demo with the name Feed Us,is melodic death metal or "svenskerdød" as it is called in Denmark. One can hear that the band have the same nationality as In Flames, the style attaches itself actually very close to alot of the great metal bands. The three songs on the demo is really catchy and well composed, and the production is also pretty good considered that this is a demo. There are many small interesting details in the music, especially that can be found in solo´s and small guitarfills which is played with really good sensitivity in the genre of the guitarists Fredrik Lundström and Magnus Andersson - it is just before me, I would venture to say that they play with as much melodic flair as our own Pepe from Hatesphere. The other musicians are also in high class, the drums are exactly where they should and the singer's voice is really good - it's actually hard to hear the difference between him and Anders Fridén from In Flames! - Dr. Død

"Eskilstunakuriren.se"

A tight, maximum reeking
Eskilstuna band that certainly could be leaders in their heavy genre - Patrik Kolar

"Review from gig with Darkane and Dismember"

First up is the elite in Eskilstuna´s metalcore scene. Embers Arise delivers a stable set, and with help of the audience starts off a wild moshpit front of stage with stage diving and everything else that goes with it. A good opening in the evening - M.Gustafsson

"Demo Review"

The first thing that strikes me is that Eskilstuna perhaps has a new musical export to look forward to. For Embers Arise is not to be trifled with. Here heavy riffs are interspersed with melodious parts and detuned guitars.
The direction is clearly marked out and Embers Arise makes this quite well. It would be really fun to put this gang in the hands of In Flames producer Daniel Bergstrand ...
- Jörgen Bröms

Bio

Embers Arise is a metal band from Sweden who begun to play together in the fall of 2004. Everyone in EA were in other bands before but due to the lack of members they decided to join forces. They recorded 4 demos under that time, and played live quite alot, and also had the opportunity to be an opening act to the Swedish metalbands Darkane and Dismember, and playing a festival with bands such as Evergrey and Dia Psalma. EA won the competition Demo of the year 2006 in their hometown Eskilstuna, which gave them more gigs and also as headline on two big local festivals, making them a growing local fan base. In Dec 07 the lineup changed with a new drummer and with one vocalist short. EA released their fifth demo, mid-May 2008, called "Once the silence is broken, fear does not exist", and played a bunch of gigs. Mid-Dec 2008, the lineup changed once again, with one drummer short, due to different goals regarding songwriting/musicianship etc. EA are currently rehearsing with their new drummer, Patrick "Ingolf" Taunu, and will start pre-produceing for the upcoming album in 2009/2010. Their live performances is always entertaining cause of the band´s vibrant stage show, giving the public a sweaty but joyful experience.
