Bio

Maybe you're about to listen to this album and find yourself wondering what this band is all about.

Well, EMBRYON is, quite simply, a rock band that flips between Power Rock and Hard Rock, however, groups like this are rare.

With influences as varied as Metallica, Foo Fighters, and Dave Vanian, the melody-heavy "Don't Believe" or "Mean Machine," sit comfortably alongside the grinding strength of "Clone" or "Feed the circle". Within the space of only a few months this group from Kent started playing the south east London circuit, quickly making a name for itself on the underground scene. Whether in front of a crowd, in rehearsals, or in day to day life, a certain unity is upheld between these 4 characters and although their personalities are diametrically opposed, the result is a mature album made up of shattering tracks, hitting you head-on and immediately reeling you in. All in all, they have an innate sense of musicality, fuelled by a rage at the state of the world that we all live in.

Embryon s energy is driven by:

Ross, drumming virtuoso whose technical brilliance derives from a mix of jazz, indie and metal roots.

Gary, on bass, the tattooed rocker who never falters, providing a solid rhythmic framework for the band.

JC, the dark brooding "Frenchie" composer on guitars whose roots lie firmly in the metal and progressive rock scene.

And frontman Dave, post-punk energetic quirky front man who delivers stunningly powerful vocal performances with magnetic stage presence and projects this imposing four-piece beyond the stage, face to face with a public that is left asking for more.

With equally rich and diverse musical backgrounds, their ideas merge, technical proficiency takes over, then arrangement completes the equation: an eponymous first album is born. Maybe you'll just have to judge for yourself - put the CD on, turn up the volume or better still, see them live. Either way EMBRYON stands up for the rebellious, for the outsider and just maybe power and melody alone do still signify something that is all too often lost in a sea of musical stereotypes that drown out what really matters: Conviction.
