Originally Embuxao was a studio project between David Fonseca and Mark Sokpolie, but shortly after they worked out several songs the need to expand and share arose.
Martijn Peerenboom joined in and brought with him the touch of the latin percussion. And shortly after Lola Peña joined with her flaming vocals and the flamenco "duende". The last edition was Bart van Dalen with his Timbales, Bongos and Spanish cajon
Soon after completion Embuxao was writing more and more of their own music.
A long time of experimenting and steady practice brought into life a steaming set of songs. The harvest produced a completely fresh way of listening to music; sense and life awakening and always in harmony and respect with the traditional ways.
Grounded deep into Exmbuxao's sound is hispanic culture & music, but be sure to see them live, because their world-sensibility can set a crowd ablaze!
