Em Cravens Band

Em Cravens Band

 Austin, Texas, USA

Em Cravens has everything from blues songs, to jazzy riffs, to build-up ballads, to jam songs. If you don't like the first song, you'll probably like the next one. We range from acoustic jams, to full band ensembles, including horn section.

Em Cravens is a band pulled together by Lead singer Em, who met the group at different open mics around the city of Austin. First was JP Cravens. They met at an open mic gig downtown 6th street, and Em asked JP if he'd sit in with him and play lead. The bond was instant. Em then brought on board Jeremy January, a percussionist and fire dancer, who he had met earlier in the year at an open mic in north Austin. Kevin Garinger then came on board soon after when playing with the band at a gig at Uncle Billy's Brew and Que, and last but not least, Lee Braverman was brought on board after trying out for the band after answering an ad they had online. The instant they all got together, they knew they had something special. Nothing about any two songs are exactly alike, and the band plays anything from full range ballads, to all out jams, to blues, to jazz, to folk songs from the soul.
