Emeka Musiq

Rapper, Singer, Songwriter, performing artist as well as producer, Emeka hails from the sunny night life driven city of Miami, Florida and currently resides in Atlanta,GA. A former letterman at the University of Notre Dame where he was a major contributor to a commanding defense between the years of 2007-2011. Graduating with a degree in Psychology, the multi-talented star athlete put aside dreams of the NFL to focus on his love for music. Currently pursuing a career, Emeka’s first promotional release was the Training Camp EP (2013) inspired by his life as a collegiate star. Highlighted by “feel good” music he also intertwines the reality of the glass being half empty at times, all the while motivating listeners to subscribe to perseverance.

Pain and emotion aside, the lead single Rockstar has swept through social media carrying a buzz that had his promise at an all time high. Capitalizing on that wave, Emeka returned in 2014 with I Dont Need Ya off of his sophomore effort, Last of The Four Horsemen. Spun from a man’s point of view, I Dont Need Ya deals with the reality of a struggling relationship that has finally run its course.

Other topics touched on the project includes his will and dealing with naysayers, as well as his life story. Paying tribute to his fellow Four Horsemen members (ND campus rap group) Emeka carries the torch for all of their Hip Hop aspirations.
