Emer has been performing and writing songs for over 15years. She has been in countless bands and performed at festivals, special events, and local restuarants, hotel, bars and clubs in Toronto and surrounding area. She realeased her first professional EP in 2007 and is currently working on a full album of original music. Her original style has been compared to Feist, Sarah Harmer and KT Tunstall.
Emer began studying classical piano at the Royal Conservatory at age 7 and soon after started studying voice privately. Many years later she developed a love for jazz and popular music. This new direction from classical music to jazz and popular music led her to the commercial jazz program at Humber College where she completed a Bachelor of Music degree majoring in voice & performance. She graduated from this program with Honors in 2007 and went on to do a degree in music education at York University graduating in 2011.
