Born in a rural town 30 kilometres south of Darwin, outback Northern Territory; comes a dynamic hip hop specialist by the name of Emerald Sun.

If you thought hip hop was missing heart and suffering in the lyrical department, Emerald Sun is an artist determined to fill that long neglected void with his high energy, rhythmic flow that delivers raw punch lines effortlessly, never wasting a line.

Not one to be afraid of diving into personal struggles and attacking the many flaws in today’s society, Emerald Sun displays reality as it is and shares his experiences in life through the perspective of an out of control Australian youth.

No longer a teenager, Emerald Sun's lyrics often reflect on emotions and stories drawn from his crazy teenage years in Darwin. He speaks from a wiser and philosophical point of view, like a child who has learned from his past wrongs.

After representing his state in boxing, rugby league and rugby union the multi-talented Emerald Sun has chosen to focus his energy solely on his first true love.......Hip Hop.
Emerald Sun first discovered his craft when he was 13 years old, after he flogged a CD from a second hand store because it contained an instrumental on it.

He then wrote his first rap to a Warren G song called "What's love got to do with it". Since then Emerald Sun has been rocking shows all around Australia promoting the "Green & Gold- The Mixtape", his biggest highlight thus far is supporting US superstar Chingy in his hometown in Darwin.

After building a dedicated fan base through live performances, youtube video's and social network sites Emerald Sun is fast becoming a big name in the underground Australian hip hop scene and is doing everything possible to break out into the broader public arena.
