Emerald Sunday

Emerald Sunday who are they ? Well let's get to know these 5 guys from a couple of sleepy towns in the north of Scotland , not any little towns may I add , we are talking kirriemuir the home of bon scott a legend taking far to early from the world of music.
Montrose , which has built a huge reputation from its famous charity music Festival every May,bringing in the band's such as , Deacon blue,Ash,manic street preachers,Madness,proclaimers, and Status Quo , giving up coming bands exposure to music lovers .
Emerald sunday have been touring Scotland and england playing them dark underground gigs perfecting their skills and enjoying every moment they have built up a reputation that they are a band to watch live energetic, exciting and chorus that get stuck in your head, always smiling while still writing albums along the way .
Emerald sunday first Album Forbidden Sun , released in 2013 has had great success from and gets better with age definitely a fine wine album .
2015 saw the release of 'Revolution' a different but still has that emerald Sunday signature sound to it , They have released Three singles from the revolution album ( When the river runs red , Five Cylinder and Los Angeles , currently away to release another called the Warrior .
The album has built up a background of intrest and has landed the guys with two great support slots for 2016 with Big country (Inverness April 2016) and wet wet wet ( July2016) . this is only a snippet of what's coming , Emerald sunday love making music for everyone to listen and love.
They are currently in the process of writing a third album as our back log of songs need to be out there .

The guys ...
# Mike Martin, Lead vocals, Mike has a unique voice and blows the audience away with his ability with breath taking power and delivery and charismatic and energy on stage that will have you captivated .
# Alan Hunter the man that doesn't smile ), the song writer and Guitarist. Alan started off as a drummer but then picked up guitar at the age of 16 and never looked back. He has an HND in music and has been in three other bands before being the main force behind Emerald Sunday.
# Matt Fleming , Guitarist. Matt started playing metal and thrash at high school and his influence can be heard throughout Emerald Sundays songs.
# Scott Crawford , Bass Guitar. Scott is a self taught bass player. He started playing bass in high school and has been several bands before joining Emerald Sunday.
# Mike Knowles , newest member of the rock outfit , from 2014 he is the man with the sticks , and has brought a new energy and direction with his amazing playing ability and writing talent .
Music influences are quite varied from each member in the band from ACDC,Metallica,Queen,the police, thin Lizzy,the who,Beatles, stereophonics, Oasis and Paul Weller so many more, and these different styles can be heard throught our music .
