Bio
Even though the members of EMERGENCY BLANKET are all from Peru... a Spanish speaking nation, they've somehow managed to create the most admirable and unique songs. Rolling Stone Magazine from South América wrote a 2 page article titled... "THE BAND THAT IS BREAKING THE FRONTIERS OF LANGUAGE" refering to "the Blankets" (as they are called by their fans) and their profound lyrics, until then, all sung all in English.
This great rock band not only has a sound that is totally innovative and promissing due to their cultural backgrounds and a mix of classic rock influences, but they also have the look and the presence.
Their new album titled Combi-Nation, soon to be released independantly this year, is a mind blowing journey that combines musical styles and rythms aswell as English and Spanish, making this LP something truely unheard of before.
"In 2003 when the band was first getting started, singer Paco and guitar player Jaymz (James) travelled to Australia. It's was in that period where the first demos ever made by the band back in Peru were coincidently heard by a member of A&R of MGM Distribution. They offered Paco & Jaymz a contract acouple of days later but the rest of the band was still in Peru and there was still much to be donde."
