Up and coming singer, songwriter, and producer Emerson Brooks, hailing from a small town just 30 minutes north of Toronto, Canada, is standing out in the crowd of talented young acts currently emerging out of Toronto. Due to the success of Toronto musicians, all eyes and ears are now on the big city to the north. With industry reps and music lovers tuning into Toronto, Emerson Brooks’ is looking to leave his mark with his smooth R&B style.
A family decision in 2006 led the Brooks family to build a small in-house studio. Ranging from R&B Soul, Hip Hop, Pop, Acoustic & Reggae, Emerson Brooks now has a library of about 600 songs. Emerson has written songs for an abundance of established musicians in the industry, both experienced and up-and-comers. Emerson has shared the stage with major acts such as Robin Thicke, Akon, Girlicious, Danny Fernandes, Dru, Kardinal Offishall, Karl Wolf, Enur, Ray J, Choclair, Classified, and more.

Emerson Brooks is an up and coming singer/songwriter/producer from Toronto, Ontario, a burgeoning hotspot for new musical talent. Performing regularly in front of infamously tough Toronto audiences— leading to the affection nickname of the screw face capital—Emerson has come to appreciate the importance of fresh sound and engaging shows.
His style covers a wide range: RnB, acoustic, neo soul, reggae, rock, new wave, hip hop, and whatever else inspires him on a daily basis. That range of style originates from an even wider range of musical influences: Joni Mitchell, D'angelo, Common, Blink 182, The Dream, A Tribe Called Quest, James Taylor, Marvin Gaye, Lauryn Hill, The Police, Queen, and Ryan Leslie.
Music is in Emerson’s blood. He grew up in a family band (Brookfield) of singers and instrument players—guitar, piano, flute—and he had been singing and playing percussion since he was six-years-old. His older sister has been nominated twice for a Juno and took home the Roots/Traditional Album of the Year in 2010 with her folk band The Good Lovelies.
Emerson is newly signed as a as a writer/producer to APG Publishing under Atlantic Records and is also currently working on his solo debut expected to be released sometime this year. It took him almost ten years to get to where he is musically, as he spent that time mastering the latest pro tools and reason production software. As such, he has a firm appreciation for the dedication and hard work required to get into the music industry, and he has no intention of wasting the opportunity.
Emerson has shared the stage and toured with Robin Thicke, Drake, Akon, Tyga, Girlicious, Ray J, Danny Fernandes, Karl Wolf, Kardinal Offishall, Classified, Royce Da 5'9, Choclair, Enur, Rich Boy and many more.
