Emilio Crixell & Border Soul play a cool mix of soul, Latin
soul, blues, rock & roll and the sounds of South Texas. The music is
uplifting with thoughtful lyrics and their own musical style that is evident in
their 2017 CD release “Music People.” The music translates easily from night
clubs to concerts and music festivals. E.C. & Border Soul entertain
audiences in South Texas from Brownsville and South Padre Island to Austin and
its surrounding areas. They also played at the 2017 Pueblos Blancos Music
Festival in Southern Spain and are slated to return in September for the 2018
series.

Emilio Crixell is a musician, singer/songwriter currently residing
in Brownsville, Texas. E.C. grew up in South Texas till, at the age of 22, he left
for a life on the road and eventually relocated in San Francisco, California,
which he called home for 25 years. In his long musical career Emilio has
ignored any musical barriers which has lead him to touch on just about every
American musical genre ranging from blues, rock, soul and Tex-Mex to punk,
country, Cajun and Latin jazz. All these styles and influences are never more
apparent in his songwriting than in his latest CD “Music People.” He wrote all
the music and lyrics except for one track on the CD. Produced, recorded and
engineered by SXSW award winner Rick del Castillo, the music is timeless and is
gaining new fans every day.

Emilio Crixell & Border Soul’s live performances are
lively, tight but always spontaneous, much in the vein of today’s jam bands.
Always professional but never predictable the band is in constant demand and
keeps steadily working gigs for delighted audiences, club owners and promoters.
