eMiLy has been singing and enjoying music since she was a little girl. She grew up in a musical family, and music was always a part of life. eMiLy began writing songs as a teenager at the encouragement of an older sister, but it wasn’t until many years later that songwriting became a passion. The stories just started pouring out, and they didn’t stop.

eMiLy's passion continued to grow along with her confidence in her songwriting abilities, and she eventually sought out a producer that could help her take her music to the next level. In early 2004, she had the good fortune of stumbling upon producer and multi-instrumentalist Dan Marfisi of JonesHouse Music Production. After some emailing back and forth, a few phone calls and a plane trip to Burbank, eMiLy knew that Dan was her guy. The two immediately got to work on what would become eMiLy's self-titled EP. From the down and dirty Wicked to the feel-good heartbreak song All for Nothing, the four-song EP left listeners wishing there was more it came from. Well, good things come to those who wait. The duo has teamed-up once again to record eMiLy’s first full-length album, La La Land. The album, which will showcase twelve of the artist’s original works is scheduled for release September 5, 2008. eMiLy's EP is available for purchase now via the Nimbit OMT, and will be available soon at local stores and digital retailers such as CD Freedom and iTunes.
