Emily Ahrens

I am a session drummer who loves collaborating with many different people. I started playing the drums when I was ten years old. The first CD I ever played along to in a private lesson was Jimi Hendrix "Are You Experienced", so a lot of my influences are classic rock/blues/soul. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and absolutely love it there, but once I got accepted into Berklee College of Music, I knew I had to leave home to pursue my dreams in music. Berklee has taught me to get out of my shell and to just let go and be free musically. My music would be described as Pop, but with more soul to it. I like finding singers who have a unique voice and can bring something original. I never like working/playing with people who sound alike.
