"Famous People Talk About Emilyn"

eddie argos:
"What sort of thing do you want me to say about it? some thing short like "I think its brilliant' Something cliched like a journalist '...Emilyn Brodsky's album is incredible, at times heart breaking and sensitive, its disarmingly funny and incredibly well observed.' or '..It all sounds so honest, it's like reading a very funny and interesting diary. The sort of diary you usually have to look around a bedroom for. Not the sort that is 'accidentally' left out. I cant stop playing it.' or... 'I laughed..I cried..I laughed again wow Emilyn Brodskys greatest tits is a heartbreaking work of staggering genius.' Choose which ever one you like. They are all true."

franz nicolay:
"Emilyn Brodsky is a surefire shitslinger and a bonafide bellringer. It's better if she's on your side. I only know four people who are really good with words and she's one of them. Love it or hate it, she'd do the same for you."

amanda palmer:
"Emilyn Brodsky is beautifully unhinged, with a bittersweet wit so sharp that it makes you want to keep her under your pillow at night, just in case."

neil gaiman:
"Emilyn's voice is haunting, her music is charming, and her tits are, I am reliably informed, the greatest."

craig finn:
"'Greatest Tits' makes me laugh out loud, get depressed, and then sing along, sometimes all in the same song. Mostly because it always tells the truth."

sxip shirey:
"Emilyn Brodsky, she's a real punk. Emily kisses you, smacks you about and then kisses you a little harder. Her music is delicious medicine for bad days. A sharp sweet cough syrup bite. I listen to it when it's rained all day and I'm waiting for the late afternoon clouds to unveil the night, pulling on my tie, and sticking a flask down my boot." - various

Greatest Tits LP

Emilyn Brodsky is a 23 year old singer-songwriter who couldn't bring herself to learn how to play the guitar, so instead she plays the ukulele. She writes simple songs about complicated feelings and is a big fan of tight harmonies and aggressive charm. Emilyn grew up in Westchester, New York home to Bill and Hillary Clinton, Jay-Z and Beyonce, and Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning. She has had the good fortune to play with some seriously amazing people. Would you like some examples? You got it!: The Dresden Dolls, The Gossip, The Magnetic Fields, The Decemberists, The Hold Steady, The World/Inferno Friendship Society, Against Me!, Langhorne Slim, Kimya Dawson, Ani Difranco, and Pete Seeger. She thinks that's a pretty impressive list. She has a self-released album of home recordings, a split 7-inch with Mirah on Third Story Records, and you can now pre-order her first full-length studio album from Third Story Records, Emilyn Brodsky's Greatest Tits, on which she, very excitingly, is playing with a killer band (Brian Viglione of the Dresden Dolls, Peter Hess of Balkan Beat Box and The World/Inferno Friendship Society, Franz Nicolay of World/Inferno and The Hold Steady, gorgeous chanteuse Anna Vogelzang, and teen folk phemon Anthony Da Costa)! She is (almost!) a college graduate, having gotten her B.A. in Poetry from The New School University. She lives in New York City on the great island of Manhattan in a lovely and strange house. Sometimes she considers moving out of New York but she couldn't live without good bagels.
