Feeling a bit camera shy

It was the summer of 2004. We've never quite agreed on the date.... or much of anything to be honest with you....anyways, It all began, as all things do, with the closing of one door and the opening of another. "The Farewell Memory" had taken the stage for the last time and one member simply wasn't ready to throw in the towel. Matthew Everett was the basis, mind and the visionary behind what would later become a way of life. Armed with nothing but a concept he reluctantly recruited Jerimiah Tretin, an up and coming drummer, to lay down a few beats, and test out the new sound that wasn't quite defined. Together the music came easily and the sound began to round out it's kinks. After testing several bassist it became clear that finding fans of the new works would be easier than finding a counter part that could not only grasp the concept but was able to fit in to the family that had developed. It was than that Jerimiah came to the conclusion that if this project were to get off the ground...and stay there, sacrifices would need to be made. In 2006 he decided to fill the long juggled position of bass and recruited the pair’s long time friend and former drummer to "The Farewell Memory," Kourtny Rathburn. With all the pieces finally in place the band was able to forge new ground and complete the sound that had long been envisioned. Despite the bands founding member moving across the country in 2007 the project continues to be innovative and take the path less traveled as a studio recording group.
