Bio
I have been playing guitar, singing, and writing music for about 7 years. If there is one known artist that I hear people compare me to the most, it is Jewel, but people always qualify it afterwards by saying something like "...but you're... different. You sound like your own thing." And that's what I want - to sound like no one else - just Emily Swaine. My influences for songwriting don't come from other music artists, but rather from life - the people, experiences, questions, concerns, the good, and the bad.
I have played guitar since I was about 12 and have loved it from the moment I picked up the instrument.
Songwriting is how I express myself and I hope that people can also find that they can express themselves through my songs.
