Emma Acs is an amazing 19 year old talent with a fantastic flair for good tunes Her outstanding voice and bittersweet texts makes you think of the times when Serge Gainsbourg seduced young France Gall and Nico was swinging the Tambourine for Velvet Underground.

With a huge love for the 60’s French pop divas, swinging London’s psych and New Yorks experimental underground Emma Acs pulls the strings together and makes her own universe. Her characteristic voice is the center of the songs where true pop perfection meets evil. It’s simple songs with strong tunes. It’s minimalism, odd tonality and controlled chaos.
Emma Acs says, ‘There is no limits in making music as long as you let the melody lead the way’.

As Emma tells, it all began like this, ‘I was walking around in Copenhagen, slightly confused and with a couple of songs. One day I ended up in a bunker’. Down in that bunker she found almost all the members of her band and since then they have been like a family. The songs were made in the universe of colored light, acid bubbles, orange furniture and coffee with whiskey in. The band was hanging out and suddenly they found the right sound. ‘I have an idea about how the songs shall be. Then a lot of random friends and musicians come around and drop their ideas and play along. It feels like one big family has shown up. The recordings have been like having a party’, Emma says. That’s why she calls her band The Inbred Family. One huge lovely spiritually inbred family with sky high ambitions.

The live set up consists of guitar, bass, drums, organ, sitar, mandolin and of course tambourine!
