Bio

Growing up in Edinburgh but now based in London, singer-songwriter Emma-Jane began playing piano aged six after becoming bored waiting during her older sister's lessons, and so decided to join in.

Emma-Jane began learning several instruments, eventually favouring piano and found she could play by ear from listening to her parent’s music collection which included the likes of Queen, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash, The Beatles & Carol King...

Upon moving to London, Emma-Jane began to garner interest from many well established music venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Bedford & The Regal Room. A regular on the London music scene, with her own residencies at The Living Room, Emma-Jane has also performed at many high profile engagements & music events around the world - after seeing her perform in London, the president of Coca Cola flew her to Egypt to entertain 2000 guests at their Christmas party - and more recently Emma-Jane was asked to perform as the main act at Richard Branson’s Kensington Roof Gardens for his daughter Holly’s engagement party, performing to a 400 star-studded guest list which also included Princesses Beatrice & Eugenie. Other events have included the likes of Take That, Russell Brand, Katy Perry, Morrisey, Janet & Randy Jackson to name a few and upon listening to Emma-Jane’s album Gary Barlow became a big supporter & came to see her perform several times, describing her as “incredibly talented with great songs”.

Emma-Jane has written & performed alongside an enviable list of creative talent including Starsailor’s James Walsh, Bryan Adams, Katie Melua, and last year opened for Corinne Bailey Rae and Norah Jones at the Greek Theatre in LA. Squeeze legend Chris Difford has become a great supporter and recently invited Emma-Jane to perform & teach songwriting on the Queen Mary 2 traveling from Southampton to New York where she also performed with Roger Daltry.

In addition to her hectic performance schedule Emma-Jane is continuing to co-write in London, Los Angeles and New York.
