EMMA JANE’S MONKEY MIND-a four piece formed by the unforgettable Emma Jane who has put together a sound that is awe-inspiring as well as intriguing.She describes her sound as “bollybossapunk”- a term penned to convey “bossa nova blended with Bollywood strings, grunge guitar and hip-hop rhythms”. “Monkey Mind” is a buddhist term which characterizes the mind as a being, which leaps from one thought to the next, like a monkey swinging from branch to branch. This concept is the inspiration behind Emma Jane’s Monkey Mind and the basis in which she writes her songs, making her lyrics authentic and autobiographical. Before returning to her hometown of Liverpool, Emma toured the States as a solo artist, recording much of her soon to be released album 'Bad Boys and Buddhism' in Nashville. Emma’s smoky tones and provocative presence have made the band quite a hit with local audiences so look out for upcoming gigs and get down to see them live!
