"Empire Theory (No 1837)"

Opening the EP is a track called 'Colors' which I am currently playing on repeat. It's extremely catchy, sets the EP up nicely and is one I think you should definitely check out below! - Hearty Vibes

"Best of 2013 / One to watch in 2014"

If Britney Spears got a gender reassignment operation and then started a band with guitars, that band would be Orlando, Florida’s Empire Theory. While that may sound like a slight, it’s meant as a compliment. There is a place for super-polished pop in the world and for a long time, that place has been dominated by dance music. Empire Theory puts polished rock riffs back into that space. It’s the sort of stuff that makes you miss being a teenager who falls in love with a different person every two months and believes wholeheartedly in grandiose statements like ‘changing the world begins with me.’

In actuality, one of the notable things about Empire Theory is, while their image is Coldplay mashed together with the Backstreet Boys, (really those two bands aren't that different), the band has a sincere commitment to using music as a vehicle for fighting poverty and is heavily involved in several small, adroit charities. Admittedly, Empire Theory isn’t everyone’s bottle of beer, especially if you worship at the altar of lo-fi, but for people who aren’t shy about singing radio ready rock anthems in the shower or have specific workout music on their iPod, Empire Theory has a lot to offer as their songs, especially Colors, end up being that one song you play on repeat as s source of motivation. In many ways, with Orlando being the place that birthed the boy band, it would be insulting to their hometown if these guys did anything differently. - Earyummy.com

"New Artist Review: Empire Theory"

Orlando-based indie quintet Empire Theory’s single ‘Colors’ is so ripe for radio that Justin Timberlake better watch his back. With its driving tempo and persistent chug-along percussive thump, the self-affirming uptempo pop/rock anthem conjures the likes of Coldplay and Keane, as lead vocalist (and lyricist) Sebastian Zaldibar reassures, ‘No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, you’re still the one/And the color of your soul is beautiful.’ Add a swirl of dreamy harmonies and the appreciable tinkle of keyboards and ‘Colors’ offers the hue of a hearty hit. - Chuck Taylor, entertainment journalist for 25+ years, including more than a decade as an editor, writer and Single Reviews Editor at Billboard magazine in New York.

Still working on that hot first release.

Empire Theory is an indie alt rock / pop band from Orlando, Florida. Their luscious lines and infectious beats hold a stronger purpose than to solely make you dance. Their seamless blend of thought-provoking lyrics and musical chimes aim to construct a path allowing music to precipitate social change, bringing attention to the issues that confront us as a society.

Drawing inspiration from MUTEMATH, U2 and Muse, Empire Theory self-released their debut EP Colors in the fall of 2012.

Colors picks apart the themes of love, diversity, and the challenges of pushing beyond the boundaries of yourself.  The record garnered national CMJ airplay in the spring of 2013 and charted in the top-20 in multiple markets, peaking at #4.

Empire Theory has been touring the Southeastern United States extensively and is set to return the studio with producer Roy Mitchell-Cardenas (MUTEMATH) in the Fall of 2014 for their sophmore release.

Empire Theory challenges you to make a difference in your world. Are you ready to become a #theorychanger?
