"Jager Uprising 16.6.05 @ The Waterloo Hotel"

The drummer plays “Rammstein”, the 2 guitarists bounce around like “Red Hot Chilli Peppers”, and the singer rasps like “Something for Kate” vocalist “Dempsey”, but with more energy. Can’t quite put my finger on what this band sounds like, but they are having some very “Bush”/Pearl Jammy moments. Singer is dark featured & shaven haired, and busts out some “Eddie Vedder” spirit. The crowd is jovial and laidback, all smiles – lots of hats. Tweed caps, beanies, fedora’s and a commune vibe. About song six the music takes an exciting turn – higher pitched, tight streams of sound. Moving on, a nice moment of reflection sees muted controlled vocals placed over lilting guitars. “EMPTY CELL” are very comfortable on stage. Tight fast-paced interesting tunes with booming rising vocals. “EMPTY CELL” sound and look good on stage. - Push Worth

Bio

Music is life – it makes the boring bearable, the exciting more enjoyable and all the shit in between livable.

Gathering influence from all strands of music and all walks of life, this music, this band; it’s not about rebellion, it’s not about being cool, it’s not about being famous and it’s not about getting rich. It’s all about being free; free and easy.

Rock is central, a platform from which each song is launched. From there, it's all about living life and loving every minute. Smooth, yet purposeful vocals create the feeling. Drums are aggressive and heavy hitting. Intricately woven guitar riffs build power and energy. Bass is soulful and joyous. All encompassed, an individual and unique sound is forged. The soft and mellow is covered, the raging and explosive is explored.

Started back in high school as something to do, the band has meandered through the years, experimenting with its line-up, set list and general direction. With time, people have evolved, the music has progressed and a clear purpose has emerged. We love playing music. We love playing our music. That is the pure and simple truth. And we want to share our music with others; with the rest of the world.
